Soup Kitchen Ministry

 

 A Soup Kitchen Ministry . . . a reality at First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill!

After many months of study, research, and approvals from the necessary committees, we are happy to announce this new ministry.

 OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To serve the needy and homeless of our community by sharing the love of God, providing food for nourishment, kindness and hope for the future.

FROM SCRIPTURE
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, . . . . " - Matthew 25:35 NIV

THE DETAILS
When: Tuesday nights from 4:30-6:00 beginning July 5, 2011
Where: Fellowship Hall
Menu: A different meal each week consisting of a nutritional diet.

WE SEEK VOLUNTEERS
We seek volunteers that can commit to one Tuesday per month (1st, 2nd, etc.) for Procurement (2), Cooking (3), Serving (4) and Clean-up (2).

PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS MINISTRY A REALITY
Pick a week and sign-up at the Welcome Desk in the Lobby of The Sanctuary OR call a member of the Leadership Team OR call the Church Office (352-683-2600 ext. 2600).
