Encourage - Enlighten - Enable - Engage

Youth Ministry

"Study to show thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."
II Timothy 2:15

The Philosophy of Youth Ministry
The writer of the book of Proverbs in the Bible penned these words: "Without a vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18) Lack of vision often leads to confusion and failure. We must know where we are going and what our mission is. With a clear vision, we can have the assurance that we are working together as a team to fulfill our God-given mission, our desires, and our dreams.

Our Mission Statement
Our mission as the Youth Ministry at First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill is to provide special events and programs, outreach ministries, and healthy relationships within the Youth Ministry which are oriented in such a way that teenagers are given opportunities to respond in faith to Jesus Christ, to grow in fellowship with other believers, and to commit themselves to serving Him throughout the world. Our task falls into three categories: evangelism, discipleship, and witness.
