How to Join

We welcome you to share the joy of our Lord through worship and teaching. Here, you will be part of a loving family dedicated to reaching out to all in need of care and healing. Join us as we, by our example, inspire others to love and serve him.
You may join this church in one of several ways:
BY PROFESSION OF FAITH
If you are not now a baptized Christian, the Pastor will be happy to discuss the meaning of baptism with you in your home or in the church office at your convenience.
BY TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER CHURCH
Simply mark the "Wish to Join" column of the Attendance Pad in the worship service and a member of the pastoral staff will get in touch with you. It is not necessary for you to write your former church to get your membership letter.
BY TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Since you are already baptized, you will be asked to take the vow taken by all members of the United Methodist Church: "Will you be loyal to Christ through the United Methodist Church and uphold it by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness?"
BY TRANSFER FROM A DENOMINATION WHOSE POLICY IS NOT TO GRANT TRANSFERS
Your baptism is accepted and you will be received into membership on Profession of Faith. You will be asked to take the vow taken by all members of the United Methodist Church.

WHO TO CONTACT
Simply mark the "Wish to Join" column of the Attendance Pad in the worship service, please include a daytime phone number, or stop by the Welcome Center in the Narthex before or after worship service or call the Church Office at (352)683-2600, Ext. 1 and ask to speak to Lorenda and make your wishes known.
You will then be contacted by the Office Staff or by the New Member Orientation Team.

If you have been attending First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill and have considered, thought about, or maybe would like to join this body of Christ, now is the time to become a part of the joy of this fellowship. We are a growing church, an exciting congregation and very Bible based . . . . You are welcome!
We use the phrase "Welcome Home" and we are serious about the words. Our church motto is, "Serving the Vision. Our Future in Christ." This is our sincere thoughts and feelings about our church. The future will be as exciting as we make it as we are lead by the Lord. Those most important to us are those who have yet to come. You are very important to us and years down the road we will all be blessed by your decision.
New members are welcomed into the church usually on the second Sunday of every other month. Prior to that time, there are three orientation sessions. The orientation sessions are designed to invite those interested in membership. The first being a Fellowship dinner and "Brownies with Bill," then "Exploring Spring Hill First UMC," and lastly, "Welcome to Our Family."
Please call the Church Office at (352)683-2600, Ext. 1 and speak to Lorenda or mark the Sunday Attendance Pad and provide a daytime phone number.
