The Shofar The Rev. Dr. Paul Clemons
This Shofar hangs in the church's Library.

The plaque below the Shofar reads:
"The Shofar, the horn of a ram, has been used by the Hebrew people for over 5,000 years. It represents the sacrifical ram that God provided to Abraham. It was blown to call the people together, to call them to repentance, to announce an important event, to rally the troops, to announce God's presence, and to praise and worship Him." Shout for joy to the Lord all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn - shout for joy before the Lord, the King. - Psalm 98:4-6 (NIV) ~ ~ ~
The Dr. Paul Clemons Memorial Shofar
Those who were in the worship service on Sunday, April 25, will long remember the presentation of the shofar, played by Don Kern, as a memorial for a dearly loved Bible teacher, Dr. Paul Clemons, who passed away one year ago in April. He was a member of the Faith Seekers Sunday School class, and class members felt that an instrument of Hebrew worship would be a fitting tribute to one who taught eloquently on biblical prophecy, and cautioned all to be prepared for "when the final trumpet sounds." The shofar is on display in our church library, with a plaque under it reading as shown above,
Please come by and see this beautiful horn of the African kudu, and now an instrument of worship, in our library. The hope is that it will be used from time to time on appropriate occasions for our worship services and dramas,
