The Food Pantry

The Food Pantry at First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill Open each Wednesday from 9 am to 3 pm, with the exception of the Wednesday before Thanskgiving. It is located in Fellowship Hall. The Food Pantry is staffed by volunteers who work in two shifts: 9-12 and 12-3. It takes about 30 volunteers each week, including daily pickups to run the Pantry effeciently.

There are various jobs taken on by our volunteers: repackaging of bulk items, desk duty, inventory, housekeeping, bookkeeping, and the stocking of shelves.

The Food Pantry is also responsible for the Thanksgiving Basket distribution for the needy.

The Food Pantry is a demanding ministry. It reaches out to the needy of our community, not only with food, but with compassion and concern for each member of God's family.
